2019 Nissan GT-R Performance

The latest model from automobile giant Nissan, the 2019 GT-R has received much interest from car aficionados for its futuristic appearance and its potential as a high-performance sports car. So what is it about this car that’s made everyone go gaga for it?

Engine & power
The 2019 Nissan GT-R is powered by a 3.8-liter 24-valve DOHC twin-turbocharged V6 engine. The car runs on a massive 565 horsepower at 6800 RPM and 467 lb-ft torque at 5800 RPM. The Nissan GT-R is also available with an alternate engine – the NISMO® tuned 3.8 liter V6 engine. Here, drivers can benefit from an even greater 600 horsepower at 6800 RPM and 481 lb-ft torque at 5800 RPM. The car has an unconventional make-up that adds to its power and engine performance. Its iconic Premier Midship Platform is located much deeper in the chassis, which gives the car better control and handling.

Driving efficiency
In terms of performance, the 2019 Nissan GT-R is an absolute superstar. The vehicle is super intuitive and very responsive. The body design is super aerodynamic – a sports car in every way. The unique body shape allows the Nissan GT-R to have a Coefficient of Drag of 0.26 Cd, which is extremely low. This allows the car to zip past at amazing top speeds, that have been recorded to go up to 313.8 kmph. Adding to the ease of driving is the 6-speed sequential dual-clutch transmission, which allows drivers to change gears in under 0.15 seconds. The car is assembled with a dry-sump lubrication system that keeps the pistons moving smoothly and ensures a smooth drive.

On-road stability & control
The 2019 Nissan GT-R comes equipped with RAYS® 20-inch aluminum wheels that provide great traction and stability. Furthermore, the 6 & 4 piston front & rear Monoblock clippers on the brakes give the car a higher clamping power. There are also the Bilstein® DampTronic® controllable shock absorbers that offer the highest level of protection from sudden shocks and crashes by absorbing the brunt of the force.
